With Water

Date-July (2005)
Picasso Said, ' Orange is the colour of mature sex.' My 1st performance, named With Water took place on the sea shore of BAY OF BENGAL. I was born and brought up in the shore city Chittagong. As I grew up, I shared all my secrets with the sea. I discovered after a long time that this sea knows everything of mine. with the colour Orange i was lying with that sea and i found her within myself where we both were one. I adored her and washed away colour seemed to me the erection of our love.

Peformance in Rakhi

Date- Festible at 2008 in Kolkata, India.

Bengal was devided into two countries in 1947, west part fell in India and the east part was developed with the name of Bangladesh. In the 1971 Liberation War lots of people of Bangladesh migrated into India. Most of the Bangladeshi people settled down there and later they were called by a name Banggal (native word).

During my study period I found so many Banggal people over there. One day I found a Muslim boy,

Rizwan who was my neighbour and his parents were migrated from east Bengal (now Bangladesh) in 1971. He often said that we are from same land and that’s why he always tried to maintain a brotherhood with me. To make his memory more colourful, I made a Rakhi by myself and tied it on his wrist in the Rakhi festival (a traditional Indian festival in which people tie a hand band, Rakhi, in his or her brother’s or sister’s wrist as a symbol of their love towards their siblings).

2D works at 2007 and 2008

IN 2007 : These works are done during my undergraduate course in R.B.U. These works are mostly related to the subject of human desire for bisexuality.

IN 2008 : At the beginning of 2008 I was working with my self image. After my visit to Guahati(Assam, India) my realizatition about life is changed. Day by day I am finding more interest in politics, society, history, human race etc. Here I am presenting those paintings which I have done in last six months.

Red Stairs

Date - July 2008.
It was another usual day in Kolkata (India). I was waiting to catch a bus to go to my university. Suddenly i felt lonely and started missing my family. I felt like visiting them. But after a while I found myself in another country where i cannot do whatever i want to, wherever I want to. I had to go through long official formalities if I want to go back to my home because here I was a foreign student. Thinking all, I realize that we, the human beings are actually controlled by some systems which we ourselves once created. We can not do things we like to do because we are so called social beings.
Within a few days after that i did a work named RED STAIRS. In this work I covered the stairs with red at the entrance of my Art School through which all the teachers and students enter everyday. Gradually the colour was spread with the footsteps of people. as a result the whole area of the school was covered with the colour Red. Because I wanted to creat a situation in which people would be controled by me as I am in the society.
